Woman bank official commits suicide

GHAZIABAD - Depressed over the death of her boyfriend, a woman bank manager committed suicide by jumping from her 8th floor residence in Ghaziabad, police said Tuesday.

Police said Neha Nanda, 33, assistant manager with Karkardooma branch of Union Bank of India jumped from her Neelpadam Kunj flat in Sector-5, Vaishali, Monday night.

The woman’s brother informed the police who immediately reached the spot and seized the body. The police recovered a two-page suicide note by the woman addressed to her mother.

In the note Nanda stated that she was in love with a man who had died of cancer and she did not want to live anymore, police said.
