Nine cases registered at Games Village: Delhi Police

NEW DELHI - The Delhi Police registered nine criminal cases and 15 non-cognisable offences at the police station set up at the Commonwealth Games Village, said Delhi Police Commissioner Y.S. Dadwal Saturday.
Police registered cases relating to loss of accreditation cards, currency, passports, mobile phone and harassment.
“We have registered nine cases. Except for two, most of them are of petty thefts,” Dadwal told reporters here at a press conference.
A Welsh athlete registered a complaint of harassment against unknown person at the Village. Another case was registered after three Ugandan officials got injured after the activation of a ‘tyre killer’ at the Village.
Delhi Police took disciplinary action against 25 policemen - three head constable and 22 constables.
