Chennai man collapses, dies at Ghaziabad railway station

GHAZIABAD - A 40-year-old man from Chennai, who was here for an interview with a private firm, collapsed and died at the railway station here Saturday after complaining of chest pain, police said.

As Lokesh Krishnan, son of Gopal Krishnan, was climbing the stair of the foot over-bridge, he suddenly sat down and told a passer-by about the pain.

The passer-by informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel, who took Krishnan to the MMG Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Krishnan’s body was kept for post-mortem examination, while his belongings have been kept at the GRP police station. The GRP found his father’s number in his mobile phone and informed him.

“Police recovered a laptop, a mobile phone, a wrist watch and a bag from Krishnan. According to his family members, he came to attend an interview with a company,” GRP Circle Officer Hemant Mishra said.
