Australian footballer to be prosecuted in Dubai

Dubai, Sep 23 (IANS/WAM) Former Australian football team captain Craig Moore has been charged with drunken driving, assaulting a government employee and refusing to pay taxi fare and will be prosecuted in Dubai.

A prosecutor has started questioning the accused and heard testimonies from the victims, Dubai prosecution chairman Sami Salim Al Shamsi said.

“The public prosecution has decided at the end of investigations that there is need to initiate a criminal case for the offences,” he said.
