NEW DELHI - A legal officer of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Thursday alleged the general manager was sexually harassing her for the past few months. A DMRC official said a committee has been set up to probe the charge.

Speaking to IANS, the woman officer said: “I have been going through the harassment by the general manager for quite some time. He used to pass lewd comments on me, saying that I look very beautiful and that he loves me.”

She said she was not able to sustain the torture but could not gather the courage to complain against him for the past many months since he was an high ranking official of the DMRC.

“For the past few days, the torture was so much that I decided to give a written complaint to the DMRC officials. I did it today (Thursday),” said the woman.

A police complaint also has been filed at the Barakhamba police station.

A DMRC official told IANS that the written complaint by the women official, alleging misbehaviour by her senior, has been taken up for action.

“A three-member enquiry committee consisting of two senior woman officers and an officer from the human resource department of DMRC has been constituted to look into the matter,” the official said.
