Plane crashes on street in southern Nevada
HENDERSON, Nev. — The Federal Aviation Administration says a small airplane has crashed on a street in a residential neighborhood in southern Nevada.
FAA spokesman Ian Gregor says the pilot of a Piper Cherokee took off from Henderson Executive Airport at about 8 this morning and was unable to gain altitude. The pilot tried to return to Henderson but crashed on the street.
Gregor says there’s no immediate word on the fate of the person or people aboard the plane or whether anyone on the ground was injured.
Henderson is located just south of Las Vegas.
