PANAJI - The Goa Police have issued a red corner notice against Israeli drug dealer Yaniv Benaim alias Atala, who has been linked to several policemen and politicians in the state, police said Saturday.
“The red corner notice was issued earlier this week. We are in touch with Interpol who are helping us track Atala down,” a police spokesperson said.
Atala, an alleged drug dealer who is allegedly linked to Home Minister Ravi Naik’s son, jumped bail during the first week of August and has since been missing, amidst speculation that he has been killed by the drug mafia, active in Goa.
Atala was arrested after his model girlfriend uploaded his videos on www.youtube.com showing him doing drugs and boasting about his connections to the police and politicians.
Six policemen have already been arrested for their links to drug trade. Both Naik and his son Roy have denied having links with the Israeli drug dealer.
