Five-year-old found dead in Delhi park

NEW DELHI - A five-year-old boy who went missing Saturday was found dead in a park in south Delhi Sunday, police said.

Suraj, the son of a plumber, went missing from outside his Khanpur residence in south Delhi, a police officer said.

“We received a call about the body of a boy lying a kilometer away from Suraj’s house. His parents identified the body and it has been sent for post-mortem,” the officer said.

According to police, there were injury marks on the boy’s body.

“The victim’s family said they did not receive any ransom call nor did they have enmity with anyone,” the officer added.
