RAIPUR - Terror has struck a Chhattisgarh village after three children, below the age of 10, were found brutally murdered on Friday, the second such triple murder in the village in a month.

The people of Nimora village, about 15 km from here, are keeping indoors out of fear and complain that police are not doing anything to find the killers.

“The villagers are highly terrorised and refusing to leave their homes fearing more such killings. Police are committed to apprehending the killers wherever they are,” Superintendent of Police Dipanshu Kabra told reporters.

On Friday, unidentified men murdered two boys and a girl with sharp edged weapons when they were alone in their homes. The killing was so violent that their eyes came out of the sockets. The murderers also tried to burn the bodies.

The village had witnessed a similar triple murder July 23 when an elderly woman and her two grandsons, aged below 10 years, were murdered.

The villagers have blamed police for failing to make any headway in the Friday murder case and announced they will keep guard on their children till the police arrest the killers.
