Bull In Stand Injures 40

TAFALLA, SPAIN (GaeaTimes.com)- The Bull that rammed in to the crowd at a bull fight arena in Spain’s Tafalla has made headlines. The raging beast weighing at least half ton broke the fence in the arena and headed straight at the viewers. The incident took place on Wednesday and almost 40 people were left injured after the event. A few of them received serious injury and they were shifted to adjacent medical centers and hospitals. The eyewitnesses said that the animal charged all of a sudden and no one could expect that it would get into the stand and start ramming the viewers. The crowd naturally panicked and tried to get away from the animal. In the process a boy aged 10 years got seriously injured. He was later taken to a hospital in Pamplona where the doctors took him to the intensive care section.

This incident took place amidst national debate on banning the century old sport in Spain. It was only in last month when Catalonia banned the sport and it resulted in furor among the proponents of Bull fight. The video footage of the enraged beast chasing at the crowd was later posted to the internet and one can find the clip in a number of sites. The effort of a person in the crowd to stop the bull proved to be futile and the animal went ramming straight.

The Bull was later overpowered and a bull fighter managed to rope it. Later the animal was killed. Since the viewers were mostly young they managed to get away from the bull in stand quickly and major mishap was averted.
