Woman, two children murdered in Bihar

PATNA - A 28-year-old woman and her two minor children were murdered in this Bihar capital, police said Tuesday. Two men have been arrested.

The throats of Arti Gupta and her two children - four-year-old Sanchit and two-year-old Ashi - were slit at their home in the busy locality of Nala Road late Monday.

Arti’s husband Rajiv Kumar, who runs a furniture shop, was away to New Delhi at the time of the incident.

According to police, two men have been arrested in Patna.

“Two men have been arrested in connection with the triple murder. We are interrogating them,” a police official said.

Patna Superintendent of Police B.S. Meena has asked city Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj to investigate the matter.
