NEW DELHI - In another case of road rage, a 28-year-old man was injured after he was shot at allegedly by a chartered bus owner in east Delhi during an argument after the bus hit the victim’s motorcycle, police said Tuesday.

The incident took place in New Ashok Nagar at around 10 p.m. Monday. Sanjay Kumar, who runs a placement agency in Mayur Vihar phase III, was on the way to his house in Madhu Vihar on his motorcycle when the speeding bus hit him.

“Kumar and the bus driver then entered into an argument. The driver informed the bus owner about the accident and the owner came to the spot,” a police official said.

During the argument, the owner allegedly took out a firearm and opened fire at Kumar, injuring him. The driver and the owner fled from the scene.

The bus has been confiscated and a case has been registered, the official added.
