Delhi sees six robberies in one night

NEW DELHI - The national capital saw six robberies take place in one night. This includes a man being looted outside an ATM, a property dealer robbed of Rs.8.5 lakh and a few other cases of small thefts, police said Friday.
“Six robbers on three bikes robbed a property dealer of Rs.8.5 lakh at gunpoint in Gokulpuri at around 8.30 p.m. Thursday, while Rs.40,000 was looted from a man who came out of an ATM in Jyotinagar,” a police official said.
Both Gokulpuri and Jyotinagar are in north Delhi.
A house in Ashok Vihar area, also in north Delhi, was burgled in the early hours of Friday though only Rs.6,500 was stolen.
“A burglary at C-122, Phase 1 took place at around 3 a.m. and Rs.6,500 is missing. Nothing else is known yet. Further investigations are on,” a police official said.
Separate incidents of robbery were reported in Kalyanpuri in east Delhi.
“Three people were robbed of amounts ranging between Rs,2,000 and Rs.5,00 from different parts of Kalyanpuri,” an official in the area said.
