Minivan knocks cab into NYC bus stop, killing man
NEW YORK — A cab struck by a minivan has jumped a curb and slammed into a New York City bus stop, killing a man and injuring six other people.
Police say at least three people were critically injured in Tuesday morning’s accident. They say the minivan was trying to make a U-turn from the far lane of a two-lane road in the Bronx when it hit the cab and sent it careering into the bus stop.
A 76-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cab and minivan drivers were uninjured and remained at the scene.
Police say no crime is suspected.
