TVs stolen from Gujarat judges’ guest house

AHMEDABAD - Taking advantage of torrential rains that crippled the city over the weekend, thieves stole TVs and other goods worth Rs.60,000 from the high security Gujarat High Court judges’ guest house, police said Monday.

According to a complaint lodged with the Vastrapur police station here, thieves broke the window grill of the guest house and walked away with three television sets, 12 door handles, taps and pillow covers.

The complaint lodged with police put the total value of stolen items at Rs.60,000.

A police official confirmed the theft and said they were investigating the case.
