UAE to release 724 prisoners ahead of Ramadan

Abu Dhabi, Aug 3 (IANS/WAM) In a humanitarian gesture ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 724 prisoners.

Sheikh Khalifa also pledged Monday to incur all the prisoners’ debts and financial commitments that ensued from the cases against them in the courts.
