Student shot after minor scuffle in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A class eight student of a school in Saket locality of south Delhi was injured Wednesday after a senior shot at him with a countrymade pistol, police said.

“It was a .22 bore pistol. A class nine student shot at Gaurav Yadav (victim) after a minor scuffle broke out between the two. Yadav was admitted to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) trauma centre. He was injured in his shoulder, but is discharged now,” a police officer said of the incident at the Veer Chandra Garwhal Public School.

According to the police, the accused claimed he found the pistol lying on the road.
