Arms suppliers gang busted in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A gang of arms suppliers was busted Wednesday with the arrest of two people in the national capital, police said.

“Five Chinese and English pistols of 32 bore, five spare magazines of 7.62 mm and 15 cartridges of 7.62 mm were recovered from the two,” a police official said.

According to the police, these illicit arms dealers were supplying pistols at a price between Rs.35,000 to Rs.40,000 to criminals of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh since last six months.

The duo used to purchase these arms from Uttar Pradesh and the north-eastern states of the country.

The accused have been identified as Gavender Singh, 32 and Pushpender Singh, 35.
