NY man, 70, killed in Pa. skydiving midair mishap
EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Authorities in Pennsylvania say a 70-year-old skydiver from New York was killed when his parachute got tangled with another man’s and he fell to the ground.
State police say Theodore Wilson, of New Rochelle, N.Y., and 75-year-old George Flynn, of Colonia, N.J., tumbled about 75 feet to the ground after their open parachutes became entangled Saturday in the Pocono Mountains.
Wilson was killed. Flynn is in critical condition at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
The men had jumped at Sky’s the Limit Skydiving at the Stroudsburg-Pocono Airport, about 70 miles north of Philadelphia.
