MOSCOW - Six television and radio broadcasting stations were attacked overnight in Russia’s North Caucasus region, media reports said Sunday.

The explosions or fires in different places in Kabardino-Balkaria region, however, did not cause any casualties, Xinhua reported citing Russian media reports.

A TV and a radio relay station were blasted in Elbrus district at around 2.54 a.m. (2254 GMT Saturday), while parts of another radio station were blown up at 3.00 a.m. (2300 GMT).

Some 10 minutes later, another part of the same radio station was set on fire, while arsonists set ablaze two relay stations in a third village.

Police, however, said it was not clear whether all the attacks were interrelated.
