NEW DELHI - A city court Friday issued production warrants against three men arrested in Ghaziabad on charges of killing a couple and another woman in the capital.

Metropolitan Magistrate Satish Kumar directed the authorities of Dasna jail in the adjoining Ghaziabad district to produce the three accused before the court Saturday.

The Delhi Police had approached the court with a request to issue production warrants against the three - Mandeep Nagar (23), Ankit Chaudhury (22) and Nakul Khari (21) - who were arrested Thursday in Garh Mukteshwar area, about 90 km from here.

They are residents of Wazirpur village in Ashok Vihar in Delhi and were on the run after the triple murder June 20 in Ashok Vihar.

According to police, the accused have confessed to killing Monica, her husband Kuldeep and her cousin Shobha in what police say were “honour killings”.

Monica and Kuldeep belonged to different castes and their families were against their marriage. Shobha had allegedly helped her sister Khushbu, a model, to elope with a man from another caste.
