NEW DELHI - Delhi Police Wednesday announced cash rewards of Rs.50,000 each for clues to the whereabouts of three accused in a case of suspected honour killings in north Delhi earlier this week.
“Cash rewards of Rs.50,000 each have been declared for any one who gives clues to the three suspects who are absconding since Sunday,” said N.S. Bundela, deputy commissioner of police (DCP), North West police district.
Photographs of the three prime suspects Mandeep, 23, Ankit, 22, and Nakul alias Nikku were released Wednesday morning.
Police are hunting for the three in connection with the murder of the young couple Monica and Kuldeep along with Monica’s cousin Shobha in the Ashok Vihar neighbourhood.
The couple were murdered Sunday, while Shobha’s body was found in one of the suspect Mandeep’s car Tuesday.
According to police, the preliminary post mortem report suggests that Shobha was also murdered Sunday night along with the other two victims.
Police suspect it to be a case of honour killing as both Monica and her sister had married in different castes against the wishes of their family.
