NEW DELHI - The murder of a young husband and wife in a suspected case of honour killing here took a new twist Tuesday after the woman’s cousin was also found shot dead.

Shobha was found inside a black Santro car used by her brother Mandeep, a suspect in the earlier twin murder of Kuldeep and Monica who were found killed Sunday.

Police are now linking Mandeep to Shobha’s killing too.

Like Kuldeep, Shobha too was found dead in a parked car, also in Ashok Vihar in north Delhi.

Police discovered Shobha’s body after getting a telephone call Tuesday morning. “A used cartridge has been recovered from the spot,” an officer said.

“We think Shobha was killed the same day (Sunday) as there was a foul smell in the car,” he added.

The police have identified three suspects — Monica’s brother Ankit, Rahul and Mandeep. All the three are absconding.

“Apart from these three, we are questioning the family and friends of the murdered woman,” the officer said.

Kuldeep, 26, and his wife Monica, 23, were found killed in Ashok Vihar Sunday. They had married in 2006. Monica’s parents were bitterly against the alliance as the couple belonged to different castes.

Kuldeep’s relatives are blaming Monica’s family for the couple’s death.
