22 hurt in Chhattisgarh accident

RAIPUR - At least 22 coalmine workers were injured Tuesday as the bus they were travelling in overturned in Chhattisgarh’s Koriya district, police said.

The accident took place at Ratanpur village, some 450 km from here, an official said. The bus with some 30 workers was headed to a coalmine owned by South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL), a subsidiary of the Coal India Ltd.

The bus overturned after the driver lost control. The injured were shifted to a hospital in nearby Chirmiri town, the official told IANS.
