Calif. bus-car crash injures 10, 3 critically
ROSEMEAD, Calif. — Los Angeles County authorities say a collision between a tour bus and a car has injured 10 people, three of them critically.
The collision occurred shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday on a boulevard in suburban Rosemead, in the San Gabriel Valley east of Los Angeles.
County fire Inspector Matt Levesque (leh-VEHK) says a rear-end collision between two vehicles pushed one car into oncoming traffic, and it collided head-on with the bus carrying passengers to a casino.
The total number of injured was initially thought to be 22, but has been reduced.
Two of the critically injured are the bus driver and the person in the car that struck the bus.
One other person with critical injuries and seven with minor injuries have been taken to hospitals.
