Chemicals used in synthetic drugs seized in Mexico

Mexico City, June 17 (IANS/EFE) About 16,000 liters of chemicals used in making synthetic drugs have been seized in the port of Veracruz in Mexico, officials said.
The cargo arrived at the Gulf port from China, the authorities said in a joint statement Wednesday. The chemicals were transported in 80 drums of 200 liters each.
The chemical is used in making drugs such as methamphetamine.
