Industrialist’s domestic help burnt in mysterious circumstances

NEW DELHI - Mystery surrounds the serious burn injuries suffered by a prominent real estate developer’s 45-year-old domestic help who is battling for life in a city hospital.
Police said they have registered a case, but no arrests have been made.
Jineshwar Sharma, 45, who worked in the New Friends Colony residence of Anil Nanda, the son of former Escorts Group chairman H.P.Nanda and the younger brother of Rajan Nanda, who owns the Escorts Hospital. Nanda is the chairman of Akme Projects which has various projects underway in the National Capital Region (NCR), Ludhiana, Goa and Bangalore.
“We have registered a case of a person sustaining burn injuries. We are investigating the case,” Additional Commissioner of Police (Southeast Delhi) Virender Singh Chahal told IANS.
According to Sharma’s counsel Sudhir Kumar, the incident happened on June 9.
“Sharma worked as a servant in Nanda’s house. He is struggling for life in the Safdarjung hospital. He has sustained 80 percent burns,” Sudhir Kumar told IANS.
