Two women held for stealing from cop’s house

NEW DELHI - Two women were arrested in the capital Monday for stealing valuable items from the residence of a Delhi Police woman head-constable, police said.

Anita, 43 and Shabana, 23 would steal valuables Wednesdays, when the mentally challenged son of Sharda Jain was alone in the house at Police Colony in Andrews Ganj in south Delhi.

The two women had a history of involvement in petty crimes, according to the police.

Jain had filed a complaint with the Hauz Khas police station last month, saying the duo had stolen valauble items from her house for the last six months.

Police recovered gold and silver jewellery, electronics goods and other valuables from their possession.
