NEW DELHI - A 45-year-old woman suffering from a neurological disorder allegedly committed suicide at Aurangzeb Road in central Delhi Sunday, police said.

“Asha, working as a maid, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her house in the servant quarters at Aurangzeb Road,” a police officer said.

She was not able to cope with the disease and took the extreme step, police said.

“A suicide note from the spot confirmed that the deceased was suffering from a neurological disorder. She was very depressed and not willing to live anymore,” the police officer said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, he added.
