NEW DELHI - The fiance of a software company’s 22-year-old employee found dead at her home here has been arrested and sent to a day’s police custody, police said Saturday.

Ravi Mishra, arrested Friday, was presented in a court in Patiala House district court complex Saturday, a police officer told IANS.

The victim, Monica Jaiswal, belonged to Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. She was found dead in her rented flat in Madangir area Friday, three days before she was to marry Mishra June 14.

The officer said the recovery of the victim’s mobile phone led to Mishra’s arrest. Police said they are yet to get the victim’s post-mortem report.

Her parents came to Delhi from Kanpur after getting no response on her mobile phone. Monica worked at Gurgaon and had been staying in Madangir for one-and-a-half years.
