Six Delhi school dropouts held for 42 crimes

NEW DELHI - Six school dropouts allegedly involved in 42 cases of vehicle theft, snatching and burglary have been arrested in the national capital, police said Thursday.

Vikas, 19, Mithun, 18, Pawan Kohli, 18, Shiv Nath, 18, Dhurender, 20, and Naresh, 20 were arrested from Rithala in north Delhi, police said.

According to the police, four motorcycles, one metallic toy pistol, a kitchen knife, two butcher’s knives and some other tools were recovered from them at the time of arrest.

“They had rented two rooms in Uttam Nagar area without knowledge of their family members which they used as assembly points. All are school dropouts and unemployed,” a police official said.
