NEW DELHI - A man who had murdered a resident of his village and thrown the body in neighbouring Gurgaon has been arrested, Delhi Police said Thursday.
Ravinder, 33, a resident of Ghitorni village in south Delhi, was arrested from Mojabad village in Haryana Sunday for murdering Mahesh, 25, along with his friend, Ajay. The crime was committed to take revenge as Mahesh had beaten Ajay.
A body was found in Gurgaon May 7, but the head and face had been crushed brutally with the help of a stone to hide its identity. It was later identified as that of Mahesh, and investigations revealed that Ajay and Ravinder had committed the murder May 4.
During interrogation, Ravinder revealed that he was earlier arrested in 2007 and then again in 2008 for crimes like robbery and attempt to murder.
