NEW DELHI - A grocer was shot at and critically injured when he resisted a robbery attempt by four men in south Delhi, police said Monday.

The incident occurred when Mahavir, 50, and his brother Mahendra, 45, were returning home from their shop on separate two-wheelers.

According to police, Mahavir was stopped by the four men in New Friends Colony. They tried to snatch a bag containing cash from him.

“Mahavir resisted and the robbers shot at him twice. He suffered bullet injuries on his shoulder,” police official said.
