Four injured as road caves in

NEW DELHI - Four people travelling in a cement mixer truck were injured when an under construction road caved in here Sunday, police said.

The accident took place on a stretch of Wazirabad Road in north Delhi early Sunday, police added.

“A mixer truck was carrying four people - driver Shyam Singh, helper Anil and two labourers Manchun and Rakesh - when the road caved in,” a police officer said.

Fire fighters rescued the trapped people who were later shifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) trauma centre, police said.
