Bus flips after running off NJ parkway; 6 injured
MIDDLETOWN, N.J. — State police say a chartered bus carrying about 35 people ran off a New Jersey parkway and flipped on its side.
Sgt. Stephen Jones says six people sustained minor injuries Wednesday morning in the crash on the Garden State Parkway.
Jones says the bus was headed south to Lakewood when it left the toll road in Middletown.
The bus is registered to Darkanu Bus Company of Brooklyn, N.Y., which serves the Hasidic Jewish community.
The bus was eventually righted. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
