Fifteen dead in blast on rail tracks in West Bengal

KOLKATA - At least 15 people were killed when 13 bogies of the Howrah-kurla Gyaneshwari Deluxe Express derailed following a huge blast in West Bengal’s West Midnapore district early Friday, railway sources said.

The blast occurred between Sardiha and Khemasuli railway stations of South Eastern Railway, police said.

The blast which occurred at 1:30 am also derailed a goods train coming from the opposite direction and it rammed into two bogies of the express train.
