GHAZIABAD - A manager of a nationalised bank in Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for demanding a bribe, a CBI official said Tuesday.

Ganga Sharan, manager of the bank’s branch in Talheta village, sought Rs.3,600 from farmer Tatwa Darshi to enhance the credit limit of his Kisan Credit Card to Rs.60,000.

Darshi contacted the CBI at Ghaziabad. A team of its anti-corruption cell nabbed the manager when he accepted the bribe.
