Bajpe Airport Witness 160 Deaths

MANGALORE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Air India Express crash at the Bajpe Airport is reported to witness 160 people wounding up dead. Reportedly, the crash at the Bajpe Airport had the aircraft carrying a total of 173 passengers along with six members of the crew.

Among the dead there is a child of 3 years who has survived the crash. Other survivors includes a medical student by the name of Sabrina. Reportedly, the Air India Express was carrying 173 passengers on board headed for Dubai. The cops have already reached the Bajpe Airport and are carrying on their investigation. Along with the cops are the Airport Authorities who told the media that there has been reports of total seven survivors. When asked about the fateful incident one of the survivors said that there was a loud sound as the plane hit the ground. The pilot lost the control after it caught fire and the plane bumped into the trees. The survivor said that there was a crack in the fuselage and he somehow he managed to get out.

What makes it difficult for the rescue party to carry on their work is the environ of Mangalore. The area is hilly and frequent rains are hampering the rescue work. Moreover there is also a thick cloud of smoke surrounding the crashed plane at the Bajpe Airport. The Bajpe Airport is considered to be one of the most difficult ones in the country which makes a take off and landing equally tough. There are 25 ambulances and other emergency services that are still present at the Bajpe Airport. Following the Bajpe Airport crash, Air India have announced of a helpline in Delhi.
