At least 60-65 miners are believed to have been trapped inside two coal mines in an eastern Indian state of Jharkhand for the past six hours after a poisonous gas leaked inside, a TV news report said today.

The miners are trapped inside mine no 6 and 7 located at Jamadoba in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.

Officials said the miners went inside the underground coal mines in the morning for quarrying but got trapped after a poisonous gas leaked.
