DCE Dies In Accident

SAWLA-TUNA-KALBA, GHANA (GaeaTimes.com)- Hon. Alhaji Shakour Bukari Alhassan who happens to be the DCE (District Chief Executive) for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of Ghana died in a car accident on May 22. Reportedly the DCE was in his Ford which was traveling from Bole region towards the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district. The accident took place during the early hours of afternoon.
The onlookers on the site of the accident in the northern region of the district told the media that the accident took place after the car somersaulted more than two times. It was said that the vehicle was running at high speed while it suddenly approached a sharp turn. The car was unable to keep its control and didn’t manage to steer past the turn. As an obvious consequence it somersaulted three to four times which killed the DCE in the car itself.
Along with the DCE, the other people who were travelling in the car were also reported to be dead. They were two activists from the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The District Chief Executive’s office said that three of them were on their way towards the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district where they were supposed to attend an official meeting. The cops landed in the accident site and have initiated an investigation on this so as to confirm exactly how the accident might have happened. The DCE’s body has been kept at the Sawla Government Hospital Mortuary and following that it will be buried in sometime between today and tomorrow. Friends and family members of the DCE have already reached the hospital to pay their last visit to Alhaji Shakour Bukari Alhassan.
