Indian jailed for molesting minor girl in Dubai

DUBAI - A court in Dubai Tuesday found a 21-year-old Indian worker guilty of molesting a three-year-old girl, and ordered him to be deported after serving his sentence.
The worker - identified only as N.P. - faces one year imprisonment after he molested the minor Jordanian girl while her parents were checking an apartment for rent, Gulf News reported.
The Dubai Court of First Instance said the worker stripped off the child’s clothes and groped her private parts in the building’s sixth floor.
Judge Al Saeed Mohammad Barghout said the accused will be deported after the completion of his punishment.
N.P., however, pleaded not guilty.
Dubai police’s forensic laboratory told the court some traces of semen, which were taken from the girl’s underwear, were found to be of the accused.
The girl’s 40-year-old father testified that his daughter and N.P. disappeared while they were checking the flats.
“She was very scared and cried when I found her. I comforted her and asked her where she disappeared. She said ‘uncle (the suspect) beat me on my hand and took me upstairs and removed my dress and then touched me’. She pointed at her private parts,” he said.
