Childless woman commits suicide in capital

NEW DELHI - Unable to conceive despite five years of marriage, a 28-year-old woman killed herself by jumping from her second-floor house in north Delhi Tuesday, police said.

Reena Sharma, who lived in Kewal Park area of Adarsh Nagar, jumped to her death around 9 a.m. Tuesday. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. No suicide note has been recovered, a police officer said.

During investigation, the family members said that Reena was upset over not having a child. They also said that she was keeping ill for the last six months.

Reena got married in 2006 and her husband works in a private company.
