CBI files chargesheet in Adarsh case

MUMBAI - The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Saturday lodged a first information report in the controversial Adarsh Housing Society scam, an official said.
The FIR has named certain promoters of the society besides retired defence officials and members of the society. However, the official declined to reveal the details.
The development comes in the wake of the Bombay High Court seeking to know what action the CBI had taken in the matter without registering a FIR into the case.
At a hearing Jan 18, the high court had directed the investigating agency to file the FIR in the case within two weeks.
