Nine people killed in Jharkhand

RANCHI - Nine people, including four women and three children, were killed in two incidents in Gumla district in Jharkhand, police said Thursday.

The first incident took place in Taisera village where five people were axed to death. In Brinda Mahuatoli village, four victims had their throats slit, an officer told IANS.

The killings took place between late Wednesday and Thursday morning.
