Eunuchs castrate man after argument

GHAZIABAD - A man who played the dholak with a group of eunuchs was castrated by them following an argument in Modi Nagar area of Ghaziabad, police said Tuesday.

“Rohit, originally a resident of Basti district (in Uttar Pradesh), was staying at Kirti Nagar. He had joined a group of eunuchs some time back and played the dholak (hand drum) for them wherever they went. On Monday night, two of them - Nisha and Ehsaan - had a tiff with him in Sikri village in Modi Nagar,” Superintendent of Police (rural) M.M. Begh said.

The two eunuchs first gave Rohit something laced with sedatives and then castrated him,” he said.

Some locals found Rohit lying in a pool of blood Tuesday morning at Bhatjan intersection in Bhojpur and informed the police.

Nisha and Ehsaan have been arrested, Begh said.
