Car driver killed after collision with truck

NEW DELHI - A sports utility vehicle’s driver was killed when it collided with a speeding truck in dense fog in central Delhi early Sunday, police said.

The truck rammed into the SUV when it lost control and entered the opposite carriageway around 2.30 a.m. today (Sunday), said a police officer.

According to police, the incident took place on the Ring Road flyover near Rajghat. The victim was identified as Umesh Singh. Four others in the SUV were also injured.

After hitting the SUV, the truck rammed into the railing but the vehicle did not fall off the flyover, said the officer.
