Six killed in Dhaka factory fire

DHAKA - Six people were killed and several injured in a fire at a mosquito coil factory in Dhaka, officials said Saturday.

Police and fire brigade officials said the fire broke out at the Good Night mosquito coil factory in northern Dhaka at 9.35 p.m. Friday.

Ten firetrucks were put into service which controlled the blaze at 10.12 p.m., fire brigade Director General Abu Nayeem said.

All six deceased were factory workers, Xinhua reported.

Six people with serious burn injuries have been admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
