NOIDA - A Noida businessman escaped from captivity after killing one of his abductors, police said Wednesday.
Pramod Chauhan, who runs a lifestyle showroom in the posh Sector 18 market, was seized Monday night by four armed men who parked their vehicle in front of his car.
The criminals did not realise that Chauhan too was armed.
The victim whipped out his pistol from a hidden pocket and opened fire, critically injuring two of the abductors.
But the men managed to pin down Chauhan, tied his hands and drove him to Mandola village in Loni, apparently to kill him.
The never-say-die businessman managed to get out of the car when it slowed down and phoned his relatives.
In the meantime, one of the criminals succumbed to his injuries.
“They were transporting to me kill but luckily I got out of their clutches,” a relieved Chauhan told IANS.
