Explosion at central China factory, casualties unknown

WUHAN - A blast occurred at a private pharmaceutical factory in a city of central China’s Hubei Province Friday, local authorities said.

The explosion happened around 10 a.m. in the factory in Tuanfeng County of Huanggang City, Xinhua quoted the authorities as saying.

The casualties are not immediately known.

More than 30 fire fighters are busy extinguishing an ensuing fire caused by the explosion.
