RANCHI - A labourer was beaten to death by a contractor and his son in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district after he demanded his wages, police said Sunday.

Sufal Razwar, involved in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) work, had a heated argument with contractor Bhanu Razwar Saturday night over his day’s earnings, police said.

Bhanu and his son Mahish then beat Sufal black and blue, police said, adding he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
